Project UI Mapping

Project architecture contract synced from the project module source documents.

Purpose

This document maps the current project UI to the project-centered architecture.

It distinguishes:

  • what is already aligned
  • what is transitional
  • what is still missing

This is the bridge between architecture definition and later implementation work.

Use Project Execution Architecture as the system-level reading first.

This file stays implementation-facing.

Block Position

Inside the toProject board, this page is the primary definition page of the Surface Mapping block.

It primarily owns these topics:

  • Control Plane Fields
  • Overview Tab
  • Outcome Tab
  • Workstream Tab
  • Tasks Tab
  • Activity Tab
  • Assets & Files Tab
  • List / Board / Timeline Projections
  • Current Gaps

This page should be read after the definition pages, not before them.

The execution architecture document explains the full operating loop:

  • intent
  • decomposition
  • runtime
  • git
  • evidence

This file only maps those definitions to the current UI.

Boundary

This page does not redefine:

  • what project is
  • what git is for
  • what runtime is allowed to do

It only maps those decisions onto current product surfaces.

Control Plane Mapping

The top property area is already close to the intended project control plane.

Already Aligned

  • Status
  • Priority
  • Acceptance
  • Execution Runtime
  • Lead (Human)
  • Execution Agent
  • Progress
  • Dates
  • Blocking or Blocked by
  • Members
  • Track
  • Labels

Still Missing Or Inconsistent

  • Execution Mode is defined architecturally but not represented yet
  • milestone handling is still split between property display and lower structure
  • git state is still fragmented into task-level repo / branch / PR fragments

Tab Mapping

Overview

Current meaning:

  • summary callout
  • embedded timeline projection

Status:

  • aligned

Outcome

Current meaning:

  • expected outcomes list

Status:

  • partially aligned

Still missing:

  • success criteria
  • measurable completion indicators

Workstream

Current meaning:

  • key features
  • execution lines
  • key risks

Status:

  • directionally aligned, but still transitional

Still temporary:

  • execution lines are currently derived from child issues or grouped issue rows

Still missing:

  • workstream-specific objective text
  • workstream-specific rationale
  • explicit mapping from workstream to outcome

Tasks

Current meaning:

  • execution metadata for issue detail
  • task list for group detail

Status:

  • partially aligned

Inconsistency:

  • issue detail Tasks is closer to execution metadata
  • group detail Tasks is closer to a real task list

Activity

Current meaning:

  • simple execution log items

Status:

  • aligned in direction, incomplete in depth

Still missing:

  • typed events
  • decision / review / approval variants
  • git event integration
  • automation and hook-generated events

Assets & Files

Current meaning:

  • linked docs and linked files surface

Status:

  • aligned in direction, incomplete in scope

Still missing:

  • clearer distinction between docs, files, and design artifacts
  • stronger connection to the knowledge git domain

View Projection Mapping

Work Items

Status:

  • aligned

Meaning:

  • list/table-first representation of execution objects

Timeline

Status:

  • aligned

Meaning:

  • time-axis-first projection over shared execution data

Board

Status:

  • aligned

Meaning:

  • status-flow-first projection over shared execution data

Immediate Gaps

The most important remaining gaps are structural:

  1. Execution Mode is missing in the UI
  2. project-level git binding is missing
  3. workstream still borrows task-derived data
  4. outcome needs stronger success-criteria semantics
  5. activity needs typed operating evidence

Immediate Priorities

Based on current alignment, the next implementation priorities are:

  1. add Execution Mode to the control plane
  2. define a project-level git surface
  3. strengthen the Outcome object
  4. separate workstream data from task-derived display
  5. introduce typed activity events
